What will you learn?
Dos and don’ts of saliva collection, handling, and transport; state-of-the-art approach to salivary bioscience research design; hands-on experience running laboratory assays for salivary biomarkers.
Why you should attend?
Knowledge is accumulating rapidly, and for your proposals and papers to be reviewed as significant and innovative, you should be aware of, and need to incorporate, the most recent developments in the field.
What is the format?
Hybrid – remote and on-site. In advance of the camp days, we will be in touch to enable you to collect your own saliva samples in a variety of situations you choose. Later, on-site you’ll participate in seminar and lab work. Together, in small a group, we’ll review data and engage in project-specific discussions.
Is this new?
Dr. Granger has taught salivary bioscience camps around the world (UK, Germany, Australia), and more than 350 researchers have attended. North America camps were offered at Penn State, Johns Hopkins, Arizona State, and most recently UC Irvine.

Number of Participants: Camp dates will be assigned on a first-come, first served basis, and group size is limited to 4-5 participants per session to ensure personalized discussions.
Lab Attire: Please ensure you are wearing proper lab attire. Proper lab attire consists of closed toe shoes, long pants, and hair tied back when in the lab. Lab coats, goggles, gloves, and masks will be provided. For any questions on what qualifies as lab attire, please contact Salimetrics.
Meals: Lunch will be provided on both days, and dinner will be provided on the first day.
