In Memoriam: Dr. Mark Laudenslager
It is with a heavy heart that we learn of the loss of a great achiever in the field of Behavioral Immunology & Endocrinology. Dr. Mark Laudenslager from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus passed on Friday, December 4th, 2020 due to medical complications from an ongoing condition. This week we mourn the loss of a life-long supporter of Salivary Bioscience.
Not only was Dr. Laudenslager a great researcher, but he was also a friend. In 1986 he founded the Behavioral Immunology Laboratory in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus which is still running today. There, Dr. Laudenslager collaborated with numerous laboratories and was well known for his advice and expertise in hair cortisol which he validated using Salimetrics assays. Over the years we had collaborated on several projects together and would frequently refer hair cortisol studies to Dr. Laudenslager for analysis.
We want to send our condolences to your friends, family, and colleagues as well as thank you for all that you have done and accomplished in your life, Dr. Laudenslager. From all of us at Salimetrics, you will be missed.
