Earlier today, Salimetrics launched a new, redesigned website, rebuilt to align the support researchers need with the steps researchers go through when performing salivary bioscience research. “As we continue to grow with the salivary bioscience community, we are creating tools that make salivary bioscience better,” says Hans Schroeder, Salimetrics CEO. “That means better collection methods, better assays, better testing services, and with this website, a better design that supports the community and makes the process easier for investigators.”

One feature of the new website is an interactive My Study Plan / Quote Builder. This online study builder helps researchers by automatically calculating inputs such as number of samples, number of kits, and number of supplies needed, as well as mapping out a solid plan for integrating the saliva-based component into their research. “We are excited because we designed this feature to be integral to how researchers organize their salivary bioscience study plan,” says Dr. Gaitonde. Continuous improvements to the new builder will feature a flagging system that will automatically identify compatibility errors in collection methods, analytes, and other selected options, as well as a summary that can be provided to study coordinators, technicians, or other team members. Each study summary is also reviewed by one of Salimetrics’ Technical experts to identify any selection which may introduce error into the study, so the more complete a study plan is, the better additional support provided by Salimetrics can be.
