Employment Opportunity: IISBR Postdoctoral Scholar

Description

The Institute for Interdisciplinary Salivary Bioscience Research (IISBR) at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a non-tenure track appointment as a Postdoctoral Scholar. The initial position will be for a two-year period. The position is grant funding and may be renewed annually.

IISBR is actively involved with a national research endeavor funded through ECHO to study the biobehavioral consequences of exposure in early life on developmental outcomes.
Scholar will work with an interdisciplinary team to analyze and present findings from a large prospective longtidunal study of 1,200 children reared in the context of rural poverty. Data sets involve salivary levels of hormones, stress, and inflammation, as well as epigenetics, the oral microbiome, GWAS, metabolomics, and environmental chemical exposures.

Requirements: PhD within last 2 years in area related to psychobiology, psychoneuroendocrinology, psychoneuroimmunology, child health/development, or public health with a strong background in advanced statistical modeling of biobehavioral processes in the context of development (e.g., growth curve modeling, structural equation modeling, multilevel modeling, longitudinal analysis).
